LCD Tester

RPG Electronics, Inc. manufactures the Model 3200-01 Liquid Crystal Tester, designed to test liquid crystal displays. The Model 3200-01 comes equipped with 32 backbplanes.

The company also offers calibration services on an annual basis for a modest fee for those testers beyond the warranty period.

Model 3200-01 Multiplexed Liquid Crystal Tester

Liquid Crystal Display Tester

Overview

The Model 3200-01 LCD Tester has the ability to test both direct-drive and multiplexed (up to 32 backplanes) displays. By using an equivalent rms, 50% duty cycle waveform, multiplexed displays can be tested for functionalism, current consumption and contrast without having to resort to complex waveforms. Simply programming the appropriate rms voltage will allow complete excercising of the multiplexed display for testing purposes. Fifty tests per second, along with automatic limit detection provides for fast testing-throughput with minimum operator instruction.

Features:
  • Tests both direct and multiplexed displays with up to 32 backplanes.
  • 1uA to 3000uA in 5 ranges.
  • .2 to 16V program capability.
  • Automatic GO/NO-GO or Manual testing modes.
  • Four programmable voltage levels.
  • Operating frequencies from 25 to 2500Hz can be selected.
  • Digital display of current and voltage readings.
  • Shorts detected between backplanes, segments, and between backplanes and segments.
  • High speed: 50 tests/second.
  • Static (leakage) and dynamic (total curr.) measurements can be easily selected.
  • No DC voltages which can damage LCD.
  • Two ON/OFF freqs. for checking response times.
  • All alum. chassis for ruggedness and durability.
Power: 110V or 220VAC, 50/60Hz, 12W.
