Model 4200 Multiplexed Liquid Crystal Tester

The Model 4200 LCD Tester tests both direct-drive and multiplexed displays. The Model 4200 LCD Tester drives up to 66 pins and detects short circuits between any two pins. The 4200 also displays patterns at multiple programmable voltages to allow visual display tests. The Model 4200 tester has a backwards compatible mode allowing use of existing Model 3200 test fixtures. In compatible mode, up to 64 pins can be set to drive segments and up to 33 pins can be set to drive backplanes. When using the new variable duty cycle mode, up to 33 pins can drive segments (or columns) and up to 33 pins can drive backplanes (or rows). All tests use AC waveforms to prevent display damage. Current and Resistance tests are performed with square waves. Visual tests are performed with Type A or Type B multiplexed waveforms of programmable duty cycle and bias levels. The RS-232 remote control and PLC ports allow complete automation and result logging.
